Tips on How to Get Your Kids off the Couch
Childhood obesity is growing at an enormous rate, I personally think parents play a large part in this by not interacting with there children as much as they should. (Yes I do understand that time can sometimes play a factor) Here are a few tips that you could do to get your kids active:
- Find out what sport your child enjoys playing and enroll them, studies show that not only does joining a team help reduce weight gain but also raises your Childs self-esteem.
- Take your child to the park, a ball and glove is pretty inexpensive and will help with hand eye coordination. You could also purchase a Frisbee.
- Go hiking, it’s a great time for bonding and also enjoying the great outdoors.
- Take your child fishing
- Try and get your child more involved in after school activities (Studies show that children enrolled in after school activities increases there academic grades by 20%)
- Have your child join the YMCA (Great for activity and interacting with other children)
