Winter Workouts Are Cool Literally
We all get a little sluggish in the winter and that’s fine, but we need to make time to get up and get active. Before you do, remember to take the time to properly stretch and warm up the muscles. Cold weather constricts the muscles therefore causing more injury if the proper steps aren’t taken. Be sure to wear proper foot attire to keep your feet warm and from getting wet. Footwear made with GORE-TEX are good choices. Try making your workouts fun, skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and aerobics are a good way to mix things up and take the focus away from the cold. You can also use outdoor choirs as a good way to burn those extra calories, chores such as shoveling snow. This will help build strength and endurance.
If you prefer to exercise indoors, there is always the gym option or going to the mall for a brisk walk. Hope these tips help, remember, be active and stay fit!

I love winter time, there is always the smell of fresh air. In the morning, I try to walk around my neighborhood as often as possible. It is always cooler in the morning and especially during the colder months of the year, I go for longer walks.
I like winter too, but appreciate the summer ![]()
