Utilizing diet shakes or smoothies as part of a balanced food plan can be helpful for some people in the battle to lose weight. Sure there are a lot of prepackaged options out there, but do you really want to have all those extra preservatives and such. Here are a few healthy natural options for making diet shakes and smoothies at home.
Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake
4 oz skim milk
1 cup crushed ice
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 banana
1 scoop of whey protein powder
Place the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Makes 1 serving.

Strawberry Yogurt Protein Shake Recipe
1 cup frozen unsweetened whole strawberries
½ cup of orange juice
1/2 cup vanilla fat free yogurt
3/4 cups skim milk
1 scoop whey protein powder
1 tbsp honey
Place the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Makes 1 large serving or could be 2 servings.

Peachy Berry Smoothie Recipe
1/2 cup fat free peach yogurt

1 medium fresh peach, chopped
