Apple Cider Vinegar Diet – Fad or Fact?
Every so often since the 1820’s when Lord Byron first popularized it, the old drink a tablespoon or more of apple cider vinegar diet pops up again. They even have come up with apple cider vinegar pills that you can take instead of downing the actual vinegar. The plan touts that if you follow the suggested intake before meals that it will curb your appetite, reduce your cravings, and help you better burn fat.
One of the dangerous aspects of this diet is based on the simple fact that apple cider vinegar is an acid. Too much acid can be dangerous not only for your stomach lining but also at a cellular level.
Another aspect of this diet is that it plainly states that you are to eat moderately sized portions at meals and to incorporate moderate exercise into your day. Well there are the reasons that some people actually do lose weight on this diet. They are following two of the fundamentals of weight loss – decrease your caloric intake and increase your caloric output.
So, just skip the vinegar and watch your portions and increase your physical activity to see the same type of results.
