A new study has now indicated that obesity surgery can now reverse diabetes in teens as it can in adults. In a study with 11 participants, all but one of the obese teens out of the 11 symptoms disappeared. The one patient saw extreme improvements. He needed allot less insulin and stop taking diabetes pills. Although more research is needed, this new breakthrough will open the door for many severely obese teens with type two diabetes.
